Pear Sauce is not just for babies. This stuff is good! It also makes for a great alternative to regular applesauce or in your smoothie. Pears are one of my favorite fruits because they have such awesome fiber content in addition to the phytonutrients and antioxidants that are in virtually all fruits and vegetables.

INGREDIENTS
  • 6 ripe pears, pealed & core removed
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp lime or lemon juice

DIRECTIONS
  1. Add all ingredients to a powerful blender. Blend until smooth. Cover and store any extra in the refrigerator in a glass container. It will keep for about 2 days.
