Typically I like to make my caramel sauce out of coconut sugar, however that golden granulated goodness isn’t always available at standard grocery stores, so here’s a splendid alternative made with honey. It is incredibly sweet and has the perfect caramel consistency.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

DIRECTIONS
  1. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, bring the honey to a simmer for 8 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in the coconut cream, coconut oil and salt. Place in a glass jar and refrigerate until thickened, about 2 hours.
