While Thanksgiving turkey is a traditional favorite, there's no need to only enjoy this juicy and flavorful dish once a year. It's a beautiful hearty dish year round. And as you'll note the honey glaze on this bird adds a beautiful color and subtle sweetness.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1- 10 lb turkey
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp honey

DIRECTIONS
  1. Move the oven rack to the second lowest position. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Remove the gizzard and neck of the turkey. Rinse the turkey inside and out with cold water. Truss your turkey if desired, and place in a shallow roasting pan breast side up.
  3. Rub the turkey, including the cavity with 2 Tbsp of olive oil. In a small bowl combine the spices. Rub the turkey inside and out with the spice mix. Place in the preheated oven for 2 hours, basting with pan drippings every 30 minutes.
  4. After 2 hours remove the turkey from oven. In another small bowl combine the olive oil and honey. Brush the top of the turkey with the glaze. Place the turkey back into the oven for 1 more hour or until the thigh of the bird reads 165 degrees.
