If you happen to be celebrating a very special birthday, or...maybe just any possible excuse you can come up with to make a pie, consider filling up this crumbly crust with something sweet, you've no doubt earned it after all!
The flavor and crumble of this tasty pie crust is perfection and truly more enjoyable than a traditional pie crust or graham cracker crust due to the rich flavor and delightful crunch.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (or more if desired)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat your oven for 325 degrees.
  2. In a food processor, blend the walnuts into a powder or at least very fine crumbs. Add in the coconut sugar, cinnamon and salt and continue blending.
  3. Pour contents into a small bowl and add the coconut oil. Mix until completely moist.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan and bake for 10 minutes or until aromatic and lightly golden. 
  5. Allow to cool before filling as desired.
