BLACKENED SALMON SEASONING

This recipe makes a large batch of this perfectly blended salmon seasoning so you have plenty on hand when dinner calls. This even goes nicely over chicken and other fish filet. Below is how I prefer to cook my salmon using this seasoning but you can use whatever method you like.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp basil

DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat the skillet with 1 Tbsp of olive oil. Place the salmon filets in the skillet, skin side down. Sprinkle approximately 1/2 tsp of prepared seasoning on top of the filet. Cook for two minutes. Flip and cook on the other side for 3 minutes while removing the skin. Flip one more time and cook the gray meat for another 1-2 minutes.
