INGREDIENTS
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Sauce:
- 2 Tbsp prepared mustard
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 red pepper flakes
- 4 chicken breasts, split horizontally
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- In a large saute pan heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and saute for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and saute for another 2 minutes.
- In a small bowl whisk together the mustard, honey, vinegar, salt and pepper flakes.
- In a 9 x 13 glass baking dish, arrange the sliced chicken breasts in a single layer. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and top with the onions and garlic.
- Place in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
